Properties: It is a powder with granular crystals and isometric crystals. It can withstand high temperatures and will not decompose even at 1000 °C. It is soluble in tartaric acid sodium sulfide solution and concentrated sulfuric acid, slightly soluble in alcohol and ammonium salts, insoluble in acetic acid, dilute alkalis and dilute inorganic acids. It is insoluble in cold water and will hydrolyze in hot water to form a colloid. It is toxic.
